Description

You’ll lead consumer product engineering as the engineering counterpart to the Consumer Product Leader—owning outcomes for adoption and retention and how well products serve a customer’s full financial life. The mandate is to move fast and autonomously by running an experiment loop: build POCs quickly, instrument everything, make honest data-based decisions, and ship winners into the core app with reliability, security, and compliance intact. You’ll also set technical direction and contribute code while hiring, coaching, and retaining a small high-leverage team.

Responsibilities

• Own outcomes with Product: adoption, retention, and coverage across the customer’s financial life

• Run the experiment loop: hypothesis → live test in weeks; build POCs; instrument; read data; recommend, kill, or scale

• Spot opportunities using customer insight, data, and market perspective

• Harden and ship winning bets into the core app at production quality

• Stay hands-on: contribute code and set technical direction

• Build and lead a small team: hire, coach, and retain product-minded engineers

• Collaborate across teams to launch experiments, share learnings, and build reusable systems

Requirements

• Build user-facing products and services behind them; own features end-to-end (backend through user-facing experience)

• Demonstrated rapid experimentation with real hypotheses tested in weeks; ability to identify what to kill

• 0→1 experience from Series B–E companies or standing up new products/businesses within a larger company

• Shipped in regulated environments; build around compliance from day one

• Commercially grounded engineering judgment (prioritize business case before architecture)

• Leadership range while staying technical (not fully transitioned into management)
