Description

You will own the architecture and quality of key parts of the platform, combining hands-on development with team technical leadership. You will guide engineers through design, delivery, code reviews, and continuous improvement of performance, scalability, and maintainability. You will collaborate with Product and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable solutions that meet regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Define and own technical direction: architecture, design decisions, and engineering standards

• Hands-on development: implement and lead on complex technical challenges

• Mentor and support engineers: code reviews, knowledge sharing, skills growth

• Delivery: break down requirements, estimate work, and ensure on-time high-quality delivery

• Platform quality: improve performance, scalability, and maintainability; reduce technical debt

• Cross-functional collaboration: align roadmap with product needs and technical realities

• Security & compliance: apply security and data protection best practices for regulated fintech requirements

Requirements

• Several years of professional software development experience

• Experience in a senior engineer or tech lead role

• Strong backend and/or full-stack development experience

• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript

• System design experience and building scalable distributed systems

• Cloud infrastructure experience (GCP and serverless preferred)

• API development experience

• Relational and NoSQL database experience

• Leadership experience guiding a team and mentoring engineers

• Strong problem-solving and ability to make sound, data-driven technical decisions

• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
