Quick Facts

  • Senior analog/mixed-signal hardware role focused on low-noise PCB development for single-molecule sensing instrumentation.
  • Full product cycle involvement, starting with sensor prototyping.

Description

You will lead the design, layout, integration, and validation of complex multilayer PCBs for advanced instrumentation systems requiring picoamp-level low-noise measurement. Own low-noise mixed-signal circuit architecture across analog front ends, power management, data acquisition, and embedded processing, and work closely with firmware, mechanical, bioengineering, and systems teams. Provide thorough documentation and drive DFM/DFT best practices through prototype and into production.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of complex, multilayer PCBs for advanced instrumentation systems, including low-noise picoamp-level sensing electronics.
  • Architect low-noise, mixed-signal circuit designs (analog front ends, power management, data acquisition, embedded processing).
  • Collaborate with SW and HW engineers and external vendors for hardware-software integration.
  • Create and maintain schematics, layout files, validation reports, and specifications.
  • Run design reviews and apply DFM and DFT best practices.
  • Support intellectual property generation and technical strategy discussions.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in PCB design and hardware development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in multilayer PCB design for low-noise analog and mixed-signal systems.
  • Deep understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, grounding strategies, and EMI/EMC mitigation.
  • Hands-on experience with board bring-up, debugging, and lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
  • Experience taking products from prototype through manufacturing.

Benefits

  • Healthcare coverage
  • Annual incentive program
  • Retirement benefits
  • Broad range of other benefits
