Quick Facts

  • Role: Principal Analog Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

Description

You will lead the architecture, development, and integration of advanced high-speed data converters (ADCs and DACs) and other analog/mixed-signal functions in advanced FinFET CMOS technologies, with a focus on performance optimization and power/trade-off analysis. You will create behavioral models for system validation, use Spectre and AMS flows for circuit/system design, and manage layout, top-level integration, floorplanning, and verification through tape-out. You will also partner with validation and product engineers on test plans, bring-up, performance optimization, and reliable high-yield production, while mentoring engineers in analog best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, development, and integration of high-speed ADCs/DACs and core analog/mixed-signal blocks in advanced FinFET technologies
  • Build high-level behavioral models in MATLAB/Simulink/SystemVerilog-AMS to validate system performance before implementation
  • Use Spectre and AMS flows for high-performance mixed-signal circuit and system development
  • Define block-level performance and interface requirements with system architects for integration into RF payloads/terminals
  • Oversee layout, top-level integration, floorplanning, and verification for successful tape-out
  • Work with validation/product engineering to develop test plans, support bring-up, optimize performance, and ensure high-yield production
  • Investigate and implement analog building blocks to improve overall performance; mentor junior engineers

Requirements

  • MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency designing high-speed ADCs and/or DACs in FinFET technologies
  • Familiarity with ADC/DAC conversion architectures (SAR, pipeline, TDC, delta-sigma, interleaved sampling, RF, sub-sampling)
  • Understanding of digital calibration algorithms for impairments
  • Proficiency in mixed-mode and analog/RF modeling, simulation, and verification using MATLAB, Spectre, SystemVerilog, and AMS
  • Deep understanding of electromigration and layout-dependent effects in advanced FinFET processes
  • Extensive experience in silicon characterization and debugging
  • Strong background in fundamental analog/RF building blocks (amplifiers, filters, oscillators, reference generation, LDOs)
  • Strong communication skills

Benefits

  • Contribute to space-based connectivity solutions within a safety-first, collaborative, and inclusive culture
