  • Work style: Hybrid remote

Description

Take ownership of the design and development of advanced RF/microwave-based hardware systems, including low-noise analog, power systems, FPGA hardware, and embedded GPU platforms. Evaluate tradeoffs between RF hardware and signal processing to optimize system performance, translate system-level requirements into hardware/software specifications, and assess feasibility across technical, cost, and schedule constraints. Partner cross-functionally to troubleshoot complex hardware issues and drive design improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF/microwave hardware systems across low-noise analog, power systems, FPGA hardware, and embedded GPU platforms
  • Evaluate RF hardware vs. signal processing tradeoffs (detection, tracking, calibration, interference mitigation)
  • Translate system-level requirements into hardware and software specifications
  • Assess feasibility across technical, cost, and schedule constraints
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, electrical, mechanical, and software teams from concept through production
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware issues and drive design improvements
  • Work with product teams to ensure performance aligns with real-world application needs

  • 5–8+ years of RF hardware design experience
  • Preferred RF/microwave areas: upconversion/downconversion circuits, mixers and signal chain design, LNAs/PAs, transceivers, filtering, phased arrays, calibration, waveform generation (DDS/PLLs), oscillators (OCXO or similar)
  • Experience with PLLs (integer vs fractional-N, loop bandwidth)
  • Experience with transceiver signal chain design (ideal)
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium preferred)
