Description

Provides clinical and clerical back-office and patient support to assist neurology providers and the patient care team. Helps ensure smooth patient and departmental workflow and supports implementation of the care plan under clinician direction.

Responsibilities

• Support providers and members of the patient care team with clinical and clerical tasks
• Prepare patients for exams and perform basic medical assisting duties
• Assist with smooth patient flow and departmental workflow
• Communicate professionally with patients, families/support groups, and other providers

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant program graduate (diploma within 90 days)
• Completion of Medical Assistant externship (160 hours)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification
• 1 year of recent relevant experience
