Description

Provide clinical and clerical support to dermatology providers and members of the patient care team by performing back-office and patient-related tasks that support high-quality care. Help ensure smooth patient and departmental workflow and assist the team in implementing the plan of care under clinician direction. Dermatology experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic medical assisting tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering injections
• Support providers and patient care teams with clinical and clerical back-office work
• Interpret information and instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Communicate sensitive information clearly and professionally to patients and diverse audiences
• Maintain organization and time management to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Use computer applications and the electronic health record (EHR) to support workflows

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program (diploma presented within 90 days)
• Medical Assistant externship completion (160 hours) verified on the MA school website
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification
• 1 year of recent relevant experience
