Description

Provide comprehensive medical care to Surgery Oncology patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. You will conduct patient histories and physicals, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as authorized, while educating patients and maintaining accurate medical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient histories and physical examinations

• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician

• Educate and counsel patients on preventative care and health management

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care

• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly

• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program

• Active and unencumbered PA license in California

• NCCPA national certification

• 1+ year of clinical experience in the relevant specialty (preferred)
