Description

Own product platforms that handle data exchange between healthcare payers and healthcare information products, including claims submission, claim status, eligibility, and authorization. Lead discovery and strategy, guide complex multi-team engineering delivery, and drive requirements, launches, and customer sessions for the most complex clearinghouse problems. Work across X12 transaction processing (837/835, 276/277, 270/271, 278), caching/reuse, transaction billing, user portal and analytics, and developer tooling, applying AI and prototyping in regulated contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and strategy for the most complex Clearinghouse platform problems
• Guide a larger or more complex engineering team (or multiple related teams) and own delivery/quality decisions
• Shape product positioning and trade-offs across multiple Clearinghouse capabilities using competitive and market analysis
• Build business cases for high-impact investments and track results after launch
• Write and prioritize requirements for complex, multi-team initiatives (new payer connections and EDI transaction changes)
• Lead complex, cross-product launches and help define the go-to-market approach
• Run high-stakes customer and internal sessions on claims performance, rejection trends, and payer connectivity; repair relationships and coach other product managers
• Use AI and prototyping on complex, regulated problems; set shared practices; advise on architecture trade-offs and compliance/procurement/data protection approval processes

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience owning a product from start to finish and independently guiding engineering teams
• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, EDI transaction processing, or clearinghouse operations; direct X12 270/271, 276/277, 835, or 837 experience strongly preferred
• Experience leading discovery and strategy on complex problems beyond a single product area, including requirements for multi-team initiatives
• Experience leading high-stakes customer conversations and repairing complex customer relationships
• Experience using data analysis and AI/prototyping tools to guide decisions; set responsible-use practices for others
• Familiarity with HIPAA and X12 EDI standards
• Familiarity with the clearinghouse competitive landscape (e.g., Waystar, Availity, Change Healthcare)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree a plus
• Reside in or near designated collaboration hubs
