Description

Administer arts and crafts programs and classes within the Arts & Crafts Center by planning activities, building and submitting event calendars, and facilitating and instructing classes. Recruit and contract instructors, support marketing with program information and customer feedback surveys/forms, train staff, propose budgets and pricing, source materials, evaluate program effectiveness, and prepare publicity while staying current on trends and techniques. Manage front-end cash operations, assist customers with special orders, maintain a safe and organized work environment, support facility repairs reporting, and assist with inventory and personnel support tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan classes and activities; build and submit an events calendar
• Facilitate and instruct classes
• Establish and contract with instructors
• Provide program information to Marketing and create surveys/customer feedback forms
• Train staff and assist with programming activities
• Propose budgets and set program pricing aligned to financial goals
• Identify materials needed and process customer orders
• Evaluate program effectiveness
• Create publicity materials and stay current on trends/techniques
• Operate cash register; collect payments, issue receipts, and deposit per guidelines
• Open/close register and complete required reports
• Assist customers with special orders and issues
• Maintain clean, neat, and safe work environment; report repairs/maintenance needs
• Assist with inventory of resale/supplies/equipment/property
• Support recruitment, development, and supervision of assigned personnel as needed
