Description

As a Visual Information Specialist, you will create command visual information products by performing computer-based layout design with graphics software and developing original graphic designs that align with organizational concepts. You will assemble visual materials (including multimedia, graphics, and photography), collaborate with the Webmaster on the organization’s internet homepage, and consult with customers to develop engaging visual and multimedia content. You will also provide secondary command photography support for high-profile events and recommend cost-effective procurement strategies for IT hardware, software licenses, and maintenance contracts.

Requirements

• US citizenship
• Background investigation with suitability/fitness determination
• Personnel security background check (position is designated non-sensitive)
• Meet grade-specific experience and/or education requirements (GS-07/GS-09/GS-11)
• If qualifying via education: provide required transcripts and be able to complete education within 30 days of the closing date when applicable
• Documentation for projected completion (resume, transcripts, or registrar letter)
• Male applicants born after Dec 31, 1959: Selective Service registration certification
• Proof of U.S. citizenship
• 1-year probationary period with continued employment certification that it advances the public interest
• Direct deposit of pay required
