Description

Serve as a senior information technology (IT) specialist and advisor supporting management with installation IT policy and plans. Conduct studies and establish action plans to improve IT application efficiency, assess IT policy needs, and develop IT policies and procedures. Provide senior technical guidance for contract and budget activities and represent the organization in discussions, conferences, committees, and special IT projects.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI access; non-disclosure agreement required
• Males must be registered for Selective Service
• IT-related experience demonstrating Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving
• At least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11, including applying IT and IT acquisition principles to assess organizational IT business requirements and recommend a course of action
• Knowledge of IT principles, organizational IT policy and planning formulation processes, budget processes, cost-benefit analysis, and analysis of performance data
• Knowledge of system architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods
• Ability to analyze technology complexities, develop/revise IT policy, and provide management with technical and cost analysis through written documentation and oral briefings
• Ability to maintain awareness of technological advances and predict how management can meet future requirements
