Description

The AMSA serves as a Consult Coordinator for non-VA care, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams and non-VA care providers to support a robust, patient-centered approach to care. The role includes managing inquiries and providing consistent information aligned with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities emphasize respectful veteran-centered communication and efficient coordination of access-to-care workflows.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer issues and conflicts constructively and appropriately
• Treat Veterans with dignity, courtesy, and respect in line with Veteran-Centered Care
• Communicate courteously and professionally with internal and external customers via in person, email, and telephone
• Respond to inquiries quickly based on the situation
• Use tact and strong interpersonal communication skills
• Provide consistent information according to established policies and procedures
