Description

You will lead the end-to-end SDLC on high-impact projects for IB Tech & CRM/Analytics, helping build intelligent, actionable insights across client-facing and corporate functions. The work is modern, fully cloud-native on AWS, including development of APIs and microservices plus event-driven data distribution using Kafka. You will also mentor distributed engineers, set standards, and drive innovation in scalable, fault-tolerant systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across the full SDLC: design, implementation, testing, release, and support

• Align teams on goals, outcomes, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

• Influence, mentor, and collaborate with engineers across multiple time zones

• Write readable, testable, maintainable code

• Drive adoption of new technologies and architectural improvements

Requirements

• 12+ years of Java development experience

• Excellent communication skills to present complex technical solutions clearly

• Hands-on experience building Java-based APIs (GraphQL/OpenAPI/gRPC) and microservices using Spring Boot and AWS services (ECR/EKS/EC2/Beanstalk)

• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture; design and deliver scalable, high-performance streaming applications

• Experience with SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and data warehousing

• Strong design/problem-solving skills for distributed, highly available, fault-tolerant systems

• Experience with TDD/BDD unit tests and working with QA for defect triage and resolution

• Proactive participation in Agile ceremonies; experience with virtual/distributed teams

• Leadership experience mentoring engineers, resolving technical challenges, and conducting code reviews

• Experience building systems from scratch with strong software architecture/design principles

• In-depth Kafka ecosystem knowledge for robust data pipelines and streaming applications

• Experience with AWS EKS, containerized application deployment, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes

Salary

$175,000 - $275,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
