Description

You will work in an agile environment to design, develop, and troubleshoot secure, stable, and scalable software components. The role includes writing high-quality Java code, using enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools, and applying CI/CD, resiliency, and security standards. You will also analyze large datasets to support secure application development and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard software solution design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Write secure, high-quality code in Java (with limited guidance)
• Use authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity; validate outputs via peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot while considering upstream/downstream system impacts
• Apply Software Development Life Cycle toolchain practices, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities
• Perform technical troubleshooting for basic-complexity problems
• Gather and analyze large, diverse datasets to identify problems and support decision-making
• Learn and apply system processes and methodologies for secure, stable code and systems

Requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Proficiency in back-end technologies such as Java and Spring Boot
• Hands-on AWS development experience (build, deploy, and operate production workloads using core AWS services)
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Practical experience using AI-assisted developer tools and AI agents (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent)
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools (coding/testing/troubleshooting/documentation) with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI outputs
• Understanding of responsible AI use (data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, adherence to resiliency and security expectations)
