Description

Join a network automation initiative to accelerate onboarding of network device features into an enterprise automation platform. You will transform XML/XPath-based feature definitions into maintainable Java implementations, build backend services and APIs, and use AI agents to automate and accelerate development workflows. The role includes testing, troubleshooting, and scalability improvements in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on backend development in Java within a network domain

• Transform network feature definitions based on XML/XPath into Java-based implementations

• Build and extend backend services and APIs supporting automation workflows

• Integrate AI agents into development and automation processes (AI-assisted code generation and validation)

• Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing

• Investigate and resolve bugs, performance issues, and scalability challenges

• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and architects in an agile environment

• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

• Support continuous improvement of development and automation processes

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Java software development

• Experience working with backend systems and API development

• Knowledge of computer networks (switching, routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools or agentic AI workflows

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)

• Strong understanding of XML and XPath

• Experience with REST-based services

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills and ability to work in an agile team

• Good knowledge of English (B2+)
