Description

You will implement backend microservices and APIs independently within established architectural patterns, delivering production-quality code that is tested, observable, and documented. The role emphasizes ownership of code quality, active participation in code reviews, and timely diagnosis and resolution of production issues with clear communication. You’ll also apply team engineering practices (CI/CD, observability, API design, testing) and use AI-assisted development tooling as part of the workflow.

Responsibilities

• Implement backend microservices and APIs independently
• Write tested, observable, documented code ready to operate
• Participate actively in code reviews and apply feedback
• Diagnose and resolve production issues with appropriate urgency and communication
• Identify scope gaps and technical risks early and raise them
• Learn and follow team engineering practices (CI/CD, observability, API design, testing)
• Use AI-assisted development tooling as a normal part of the workflow

Requirements

• Java and Spring Boot experience for backend microservice development
• RESTful API design and integration experience
• Cloud deployment familiarity (AWS preferred) and operating containerized services
• Delivery pipeline experience: source control, CI/CD workflows, automated testing
• Basic observability: structured logs and understanding of distributed traces
• Database fundamentals: queries, indexes, and data storage patterns
• Version control and collaborative development experience (branching, pull requests, code review)
