Description

You will be the first point of contact for patients entering the medical facility. Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, verifying information, scheduling appointments, and updating the Electronic Health Record (EHR), as well as completing intake tasks such as healthcare and insurance forms and collecting payments.

You will ensure privacy and safety by following all applicable regulations and organizational policies while communicating effectively with patients, families/support groups, and healthcare providers.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

• 1 year of recent relevant experience

• Basic knowledge of insurance policies/procedures and patient billing

• Ability to interpret data and instructions in multiple formats (written, oral, diagrams, schedules)

• Written and verbal communication skills for patients and healthcare team members

• Time management and organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines within standardized procedures

• General knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while handling interruptions

• Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options

• Ability to protect each patient’s Protected Health Information (PHI)

• Ability to build collaborative relationships to meet departmental and corporate objectives
