Description

Provide a secure, safe environment in a healthcare facility by patrolling and monitoring premises, controlling access, and responding to emergency situations. Observe and report suspicious or unauthorized activities and unsafe conditions, and investigate and document incidents with liaison to local law enforcement. Assist staff, physicians, patients, and visitors, including monitoring and restraining violent patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor facility premises; observe and report suspicious/unauthorized activity
• Support access control and key control
• Provide emergency response and notification
• Render security assistance to staff, physicians, patients, and visitors
• Monitor and restrain violent patients
• Investigate and document incidents; serve as liaison with local law enforcement

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• PSO (Proprietary Private Security Officer) required at time of hire
• Live Scan required at time of hire
• 1-year recent relevant experience
• Ability to write incident reports and read business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups and the general public
• Ability to use basic math (add/subtract/multiply/divide) across measurement units
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
