Description

Provide outpatient urology care, including evaluating patients through conversation and observation, ordering and analyzing tests or lab work, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans with timelines and goals. Prescribe medications, monitor patient intake, document symptoms and treatment progress, and counsel patients and their families on recovery and next steps. Collaborate with other physicians and medical staff to determine the best treatment approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily urologist duties: evaluate, diagnose, and create treatment plans
• Administer and/or request testing and lab work; analyze results
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient intake
• Document patient records and progress (symptoms, medications, treatments)
• Counsel and educate patients and relevant parties on treatment and recovery
• Establish goals, timelines, tasks, and medical needs

Requirements

• MD or Doctor of Urology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
• Successful completion of an approved Endocrinology residency training program
• Active medical license
• Current New York State Medical Practitioner License
• Current DEA and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
