Description

The ENT Physician Assistant (PA) works under surgeons or doctors to practice medicine in the ear, nose, and throat specialty. Responsibilities include reviewing patient medical histories, making diagnoses, providing treatments, and conducting patient assessments.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient’s care plan, order tests, and counsel and educate patients.
• Prescribe medications, conduct physical examinations, record patient progress, and research treatments to ensure best patient care.
• Participate in or conduct outreach programs to promote wellness or educate about disease management.
• Provide a solid foundation for ENT/otolaryngology practice, including performing physical exams, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, providing health counseling, prescribing medications, and assisting in surgery.

Requirements

• Master’s degree
• Accredited PA Program in the state of NY
• Prefer clinical working experience as a PA within the given specialty/service line (recommended; not required)
• Proficiency in performing ENT procedures
• Attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills

Benefits

• Salary: $135,000–150,000
• Salary may reflect bonuses and incentives
