Description

Provide continuum quality routine patient care and rehabilitation for nursing home residents in Manhattan and the Bronx with a 7 on 7 off schedule. You will examine, diagnose, and treat patients while ensuring accurate documentation and quality-focused care. Clinical work includes ordering and interpreting tests, administering treatments, vaccinating patients, and coordinating specialty care when needed.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients

• Ensure fulfillment of quality-care commitments

• Diagnose and treat a variety of diseases in general practice

• Examine patients using medical instruments and equipment

• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information

• Document past medical, family, and social history; review of systems; examinations; medications; allergies; assessment and plan

• Order or execute tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging

• Analyze test reports and examination findings to diagnose conditions

• Administer or prescribe treatments

• Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan

• Vaccinate patients to immunize from communicable diseases

• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and prevention of disease

• Consult appropriate medical specialists when necessary; refer to subspecialists within the network

Requirements

• Medical degree conferred by an accredited college or university

• New York State licensure

• Board Eligible and/or Board Certified

• Demonstrated clinical excellence

• Nursing home experience strongly preferred
