Quick Facts

  • Role: PAA/DBF DSP Simulation & Verification Engineer

Description

You will optimize and verify phased array antenna and silicon-based simulation models to improve the performance, accuracy, and scalability of simulation infrastructure. The role focuses on refactoring and benchmarking MATLAB/Python/C++ models, implementing high-performance C++ algorithms, and validating changes with unit and integration tests plus continuous integration.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize existing MATLAB, Python, and C++ simulation models for phased array antenna systems to reduce memory footprint and simulation runtime
  • Profile and benchmark simulation code to find performance bottlenecks and implement targeted improvements
  • Refactor legacy MATLAB scripts into efficient, modular, and maintainable codebases
  • Implement high-performance C++ algorithms for computationally intensive antenna and silicon modeling tasks
  • Collaborate with RF and DSP engineers to ensure optimization does not reduce simulation fidelity
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to validate model accuracy before and after optimization
  • Explore and integrate parallel computing, memory/data structure optimization, and algorithmic complexity reduction
  • Use MEX development to integrate MATLAB and C++ components
  • Document optimization strategies, methodologies, and results
  • Support continuous integration pipelines for simulation model validation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience with MATLAB, Python, and C++
  • Demonstrated experience profiling and optimizing computational code for speed and memory efficiency
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and memory management
  • Familiarity with numerical methods and scientific computing
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Benefits

  • Safety, collaboration, and inclusion-focused culture with opportunities to work on reusable, safe, and low-cost space systems
