Description

Support a UK insurance client by developing and maintaining ServiceNow Service Catalog. You will design and implement catalog elements and ordering portals, write JavaScript client/server logic, automate request approvals and fulfillment flows, and handle ongoing platform maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evolve Catalog Items, Record Producers, Variable Sets, and service categorization.

• Configure Service Portal / UI Builder experiences: customize widgets and themes and define logical layouts for end users.

• Implement request lifecycle logic including approvals, fulfillment tasks, and SLA-related behavior.

• Develop server-side business logic using Script Includes, Business Rules, and Script Actions.

• Develop client-side behavior: form validation and dynamic field behavior using Catalog Client Scripts and UI Policies.

• Create and maintain workflow automations in Flow Designer (preferred) or legacy Workflow Editor.

• Map and pass data between catalog variables, flows, and fulfillment tasks.

• Administer platform basics: roles and permissions; work with CMDB, System Properties, notifications, and Scheduled Jobs.

• Deploy changes across environments using Update Sets.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of practical experience in a ServiceNow Developer/Consultant role.

• Very good JavaScript knowledge for the ServiceNow platform (Glide API).

• Ability to independently analyze business requirements and translate them into ServiceNow solutions.

• Very good English (working with a UK client in an international environment).

• Experience with Service Catalog and ordering portal configuration.

• Experience with approvals/fulfillment/SLA lifecycle logic.

• Experience with Flow Designer or legacy Workflow Editor.

• Knowledge of role/permission setup and basic platform administration (CMDB, System Properties, notifications, Scheduled Jobs, Update Sets).
