• Role: Workday HR Systems Consultant (Workday Platform & Configuration)

Description

Lead technical configuration and continuous development of Workday HCM, including business process configurations and related system components. You will own and enhance Workday modules over time, analyze and implement cross-module changes, and support the introduction of new Workday capabilities such as Talent Optimization, Learning, Recruiting Extensions, and HR Case Management. You will also collaborate with specialists across integrations, reporting, security, data management, development, and operations, and ensure documentation and standardized handovers.

Responsibilities

• Configure and continuously improve Workday (business process configurations and related components)
• Technically own and further develop existing and future Workday modules after transition into operations
• Analyze and implement cross-module changes and configuration dependencies across the Workday landscape
• Provide technical support for new Workday capabilities (Talent Optimization, Learning, Recruiting Extensions, HR Case Management)
• Collaborate with specialists for Integrations, Reporting, Security, Data Management, Development, and Operations
• Document and standardize configurations, technical processes, and operational handovers

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Workday configuration or similar HCM systems
• Strong knowledge of configuration concepts in HCM cloud systems
• Good understanding of dependencies between the HR data model and configuration
• Experience technically supporting and enhancing HCM cloud solutions after implementation (preferably Workday)
• Ability to translate functional HR requirements into sustainable technical configurations
• Structured, analytical, and independent way of working
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in an international, cross-functional environment
• Very good English language and communication skills
• Willingness to travel to Germany about twice per year for 3–5 days
• Experience with HR Service Management or Case Management solutions (Workday Help or ServiceNow HRSD is a plus)
