Description

You will lead the global network strategy and ensure a secure, high-performing, future-ready network infrastructure. The role covers operation of LAN/WAN/WLAN, internet and cloud networks worldwide, development of the global network architecture, and end-to-end network service planning and delivery. You will also manage external service providers and drive incident/problem/change/availability management with KPI-based continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own global network strategy and the network infrastructure roadmap
• Ensure worldwide operation of LAN, WAN, WLAN, internet and cloud networks and connectivity for all international sites
• Evolve global network architecture considering business, security, and compliance needs
• Plan, deliver, and operate network services for all locations
• Manage external service providers including SLA, escalation, and quality management
• Ensure effective incident, problem, change, and availability management
• Define, monitor, and continuously improve KPIs for availability, performance, and service quality
• Evaluate and introduce new networking technologies to support digital transformation
• Manage budget, resources, contracts, and suppliers
• Provide professional and disciplinary leadership to international teams and promote a service-oriented culture

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
• Several years of leadership experience in Enterprise Networking/IT Infrastructure/Network Services in an international environment
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and data center/cloud network concepts
• Experience operating global networks with high availability, security, and performance requirements
• Experience steering managed-service providers and managing SLAs and contracts
• Network security knowledge plus compliance and governance requirements
• Experience planning and implementing international infrastructure/transformation projects
• Experience with KPI-based service/performance management and continuous improvement
• Experience with budget and resource management
• Fluent German and English
