Description

You will provide technical leadership for a SW support group—defining technical direction and ensuring solution quality, stability, and long-term maintainability. The role includes designing desktop application architecture and implementation approaches, splitting complex solutions into stages, implementing critical system parts, and evaluating technology options and risks. You will collaborate with other development teams and stakeholders while leading and growing the team.

Responsibilities

• Technically lead software development and determine the team’s technical direction
• Ensure technical quality, stability, and long-term sustainability of solutions
• Design architecture for desktop applications and implementation procedures
• Break down complex solutions into stages and manage them technically
• Implement complex and critical system components
• Evaluate technological variants and associated risks
• Collaborate with other development teams and stakeholders
• Lead and develop a team of 9 people

Requirements

• Experience in software development and ability to take responsibility for technical solutions
• Ability to make independent decisions and set the technical direction
• Experience designing desktop applications
• Experience with real-time data processing systems
• Experience with relational data models
• Knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, JavaScript, React/Svelte, and Electron (or willingness to further develop)
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and develop colleagues
• Knowledge of network communication and communication protocols
• Orientation in SVG and interactive visualizations
• Experience with performance optimization, load testing, diagnostics, and operational telemetry
• Ability to identify risks and propose realistic, long-term sustainable solutions
• Willingness to work from the Brno office
