Description

Lead the development of modern cloud-based applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) using Node.js, combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You will guide a team to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions through code reviews, monitoring and troubleshooting, and continuous improvements to development processes and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with customers and stakeholders and influence architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead development activities using Node.js within SAP BTP to ensure high-quality, maintainable code

• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices for clean software design

• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects

• Prepare and maintain technical and user documentation

• Coordinate team activities, track performance, and support team development

• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders, providing technical guidance

• Contribute to setting up and continuously improving development processes and CI/CD pipelines

• Drive architectural decisions to deliver scalable, future-ready solutions

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SAP-related development including SAPUI5, SAP BTP, HANA, CAP, and Node.js

• Proven Team Lead experience managing and mentoring teams of 10+ engineers

• Strong expertise in Node.js and solid understanding of JavaScript

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar (e.g., Piper, Webdriver.IO)

• Good understanding of cloud architecture and microservices design principles

• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum or Kanban)

• Experience/knowledge of SAP BTP, HANA database, and SAP CAP (Java or Node.js)

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
