Description

Lead development of Node.js applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You will drive code quality through code reviews, monitor and troubleshoot applications, and influence architecture decisions for scalable, future-ready solutions. Collaborate with customers and stakeholders, and help improve development processes and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead development using Node.js within SAP BTP, ensuring high-quality and maintainable code
• Perform code reviews and promote best practices and clean software design
• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects
• Prepare and maintain technical and user documentation
• Coordinate team activities, track performance, and support team development
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders, providing technical guidance
• Improve development processes and CI/CD pipelines continuously
• Drive architectural decisions for scalable solutions

Requirements

• 7+ years of SAP-related development including SAPUI5, SAP BTP, HANA, CAP, and Node.js
• Team Lead experience managing and mentoring teams of 10+ engineers
• Strong expertise in Node.js and solid understanding of JavaScript
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Piper, Webdriver.IO, or similar
• Good understanding of cloud architecture and microservices design
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum or Kanban)
• Experience/knowledge of SAP BTP, HANA database, and SAP CAP (Java or Node.js)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
