Description

Lead development activities using Node.js within SAP BTP to deliver high-quality, maintainable software. You’ll manage and mentor a team of 10+ engineers, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot and resolve defects, and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to provide technical guidance and delivery insights. You will also continuously improve development processes and CI/CD pipelines while driving scalable, future-ready architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Node.js development on SAP BTP

• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices for clean design

• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects

• Prepare and maintain technical and user documentation

• Coordinate team activities, track performance, and support team development

• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders; provide technical guidance

• Improve development processes and CI/CD pipelines continuously

• Drive architectural decisions for scalable solutions

Requirements

• 7+ years of SAP-related development experience (SAPUI5, SAP BTP, HANA, CAP, Node.js)

• Proven Team Lead experience managing and mentoring 10+ engineers

• Strong Node.js expertise and solid understanding of JavaScript

• CI/CD experience with tools such as Jenkins, Piper, Webdriver.IO (or similar)

• Good understanding of cloud architecture and microservices design principles

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)

• Experience or knowledge of SAP BTP, HANA database, and SAP CAP (Java or Node.js)

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
