Description

Manage the end-to-end software license lifecycle, including the license inventory and license/framework contracts. Ensure license compliance by regularly comparing software usage with license stock, producing license reports and balances, and analyzing utilization, costs, and savings potential. Optimize licensing models (especially Microsoft), support True-Up processes and software audits, and advise IT and business teams on licensing questions while improving SAM processes.

Responsibilities

• Steer the full software license lifecycle within the license management team

• Maintain license inventory and license/framework contracts

• Ensure license compliance via regular reconciliation of software usage vs. license stock

• Create license balances/bilances and reports on usage, costs, and savings potential

• Administer and optimize license models, including Microsoft volume licensing

• Support True-Up processes and participate in software audits

• Develop and improve SAM processes

• Consult and support IT and business departments on licensing topics and collaborate with software partners

Requirements

• Completed vocational training or degree in a business field

• Good IT skills, especially software installation and inventorying, IT systems, and networks

• Ideally experience in Software Asset Management, software contracts, and license models

• Advantage: knowledge of Microsoft licensing

• Language skills: German C1 and English B2 (CEF)

• Commercial understanding (procurement, contract management, cost perspective)

• Analytical and solution-oriented approach; independent and proactive working style

• Strong communication skills with consulting and customer service orientation
