Description

You will manage IT projects end-to-end, from initiation and planning through testing, acceptance, stabilization, and handover to operations. The role requires strong expertise in the IT infrastructure lifecycle and the ability to coordinate technical teams and external partners while translating technical decisions into scope, plan, risks, and business communication.

You will also support pre-sales activities by participating in technical concept estimates and client discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT projects from initiation through planning, execution, testing, acceptance, stabilization, and transition to maintenance

  • Support creation of estimates for technical concepts and client offers

  • Run business discussions with clients, presenting technical solution concepts

  • Own scope, schedule, budget, resource plan, dependencies, milestones, and acceptance criteria

  • Coordinate work across administrators, network, database, security, cloud, Microsoft 365, application teams, and external vendors

  • Ensure effective information flow between client, sponsor, business, technical teams, and technology partners

  • Facilitate workshops, kickoffs, status reviews, steering committees, acceptances, and wrap-up meetings

  • Manage project risks (technical risks, resource readiness, environment readiness, access, service windows, business continuity, rollback plans)

  • Manage scope changes and assess impact on architecture, security, costs, timelines, and ongoing maintenance

  • Plan production deployments, migrations, and modernization (including tests, backup, rollback, stabilization, and post-implementation documentation)

  • Monitor progress, effort, budget, and delivery quality; escalate issues with solution recommendations

  • Maintain project documentation and support continuous improvement of project management standards

  • Support Sales in clarifying scope, assumptions, estimates, schedule, and risks for infrastructure offers

Requirements

  • Experience independently managing IT projects on the provider/integrator side or in a complex IT environment

  • Solid knowledge of the IT infrastructure lifecycle (analysis/design, provisioning, configuration, migration, tests, production go-live, stabilization, maintenance)

  • Higher education (preferably technical/IT)

  • Ability to discuss technology with technical specialists and translate outcomes into scope, plan, risks, and business communication

  • Experience across several infrastructure areas: Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi, firewalls/VPN, Veeam, VMware, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, storage, backup/DR, databases, Microsoft 365, Azure, Kubernetes, monitoring, and infrastructure security

  • Experience coordinating migrations/modernizations of production environments including tests, rollout, rollback, and stabilization

  • Ability to manage multi-specialist teams, external suppliers, and dependencies between infrastructure, applications, and business

  • Proficiency in creating schedules, estimates, budgets, risk registers, status reports, acceptance protocols, and project documentation

  • Practical knowledge of classic, agile, or hybrid project management methods

  • Knowledge of ITIL Change in the IT context

  • Ability to negotiate with the client, set priorities, make decisions, and clearly communicate problems and recommendations

  • English proficiency enabling collaboration with technology vendors and working with technical documentation
