Description

Lead SAP ABAP development and application support for SAP Business Technology Platform, including code reviews, feature delivery, and troubleshooting bugs and issues. Provide technical leadership, create technical/user documentation, and collaborate with customers and stakeholders while contributing to development process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews and develop features using best software development practices (clean code/design)

• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs

• Write technical and user documentation

• Cooperate with the team, track performance and needs

• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on technical topics; provide metrics to management

• Participate in setup, improvement, and implementation of development processes

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience in SAP ABAP

• Experience as team lead and mentoring an organization structure with 10+ people

• Agile (Scrum) development experience; strong understanding of application/software architecture

• Strong ABAP programming skills including ABAP OO and Design Patterns

• ABAP for SAP S/4HANA development experience (CDS, Fiori elements/SmartTemplates)

• Experience with SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services

• Experience with BOPF, BOL, and other ABAP frameworks

• Knowledge of ABAP Test Cockpit, ABAP Performance Tuning, runtime analysis tools/techniques

• Basic understanding of SAP system functionality with knowledge of SAP S/4HANA functional areas

• English proficiency level B2+
