Description

Lead SAP ABAP development and support activities for SAP Business Technology Platform applications, including mentoring a team of engineers. Own code reviews, feature delivery, application monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation, while collaborating with customers and stakeholders on technical topics. Provide design and architectural decisions and help improve development processes in an Agile (Scrum) environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews and develop features following best software development practices to ensure clean code and clean design

• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs

• Write technical and user documentation

• Cooperate with the team, track performance and needs

• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on technical topics; provide required metrics to management

• Participate in setting up, improving, and implementing development processes

• Make design and architectural decisions

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience in SAP ABAP

• Experience working as team leader and mentoring organizations of 10+ people

• Agile (Scrum) development experience with expert understanding of application and software architecture

• Strong ABAP programming skills, including ABAP OO and Design Patterns

• Experience in ABAP for SAP S/4HANA development (CDS, Fiori elements/SmartTemplates)

• Experience with SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services

• Experience in BOPF, BOL, and other ABAP frameworks

• Knowledge of ABAP Test Cockpit, ABAP performance tuning, and runtime analysis tools/techniques

• Basic understanding of SAP system functionality with strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA functional areas

• English proficiency level B2 or higher
