Description

You will design, operate, and secure a scalable, highly available IT infrastructure for a hospital environment, combining enterprise architecture with automation and modern security approaches. The role covers implementation and optimization of server, network, and storage systems (with a strong Windows focus), virtualization, and security strategy. You will also monitor operations, analyze issues using monitoring and anomaly detection results, and continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies.

Role Description / Responsibilities

  • Plan and optimize the IT system landscape for stability, scalability, and security
  • Implement technical solutions across server, storage, and network infrastructure and related applications
  • Develop IT security strategies including risk management and appropriate documentation
  • Monitor day-to-day operations; own maintenance processes and system availability
  • Analyze failures and evaluate outputs from monitoring and anomaly detection systems
  • Research, assess, and integrate new technologies via projects

Requirements

  • Completed degree in (business) informatics or comparable qualification; alternatively, an apprenticeship as IT specialist for systems integration with relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of experience designing and operating complex IT infrastructures
  • Strong knowledge in designing, implementing, and optimizing server, network, and storage infrastructures
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Experience with IT security solutions
  • Experience with monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery systems
  • Very good understanding of Windows-based systems and network technologies
  • Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
  • Ability to proactively develop infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, and implement automation
  • Ideally: knowledge of standards and norms such as ISO 27001 or IT-Grundschutz
  • Independent, structured working style and high personal responsibility
  • Preventive IT security mindset and risk management experience
  • Before starting work: proof of sufficient measles vaccination or immunity per applicable German IfSG requirements
