Description

Lead the strategic development and hardening of the IT infrastructure with a focus on IT security and future-oriented technologies. Plan, implement, and monitor protective measures based on established IT security standards such as ISO 27001, and proactively analyze and optimize security architectures while identifying new threat scenarios. Provide expert support to international sites and ensure secure, stable, and highly available IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Strategic development and safeguarding of the IT infrastructure with focus on IT security and future-ready technologies

• Plan, implement, and monitor security measures aligned with IT security standards (e.g., ISO 27001)

• Independently manage IT projects to optimize business processes and introduce innovative solutions

• Analyze and optimize IT security architectures; proactively identify new threat scenarios

• Provide expert knowledge and support for international locations on complex IT topics

• Ensure secure, stable, highly available IT operations

Requirements

• Completed degree or vocational training in computer science or comparable qualification

• Multiple years of professional experience in IT security

• In-depth knowledge of administering server and security infrastructure (e.g., networks, firewalls, proxies, IDS, EDR/XDR)

• Experience independently leading complex IT projects, including stakeholder management and ideally regulatory requirements

• Interest in Open-Source solutions (e.g., Linux) and current cybersecurity developments

• Analytical thinking, willingness to learn, and strong team orientation

• Very good German and English skills in speaking and writing
