Description

You will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and automating SAS 9.4 analytics and data platform environments. The goal of the role is to ensure stability, high availability, and performance in production while reducing manual operational work through automation. You will work with infrastructure, security, network, cloud teams, project teams, and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and develop SAS 9.4 environments

• Maintain SAS components: Metadata Server, Object Spawner, Workspace Server, SAS Web Application Server, SPDS

• Administer Linux, Unix/AIX, and Windows Server systems

• Ensure high availability, stability, and reliability of production platform environments

• Analyze and optimize environment performance

• Diagnose and resolve production incidents and problems

• Perform Root Cause Analysis and identify problem causes

• Analyze application, system, and infrastructure logs

• Troubleshoot performance, integrations, and system configuration issues

• Administer user authentication and authorization mechanisms

• Integrate environments with LDAP and Active Directory

• Manage permissions and access control

• Support vulnerability analysis and deploy security patches

• Help ensure environments comply with organizational security standards

• Automate administrative and operational processes using Bash, PowerShell, Python, and CMD

• Create tools that reduce manual effort for the team

• Standardize and document operational processes

• Participate in migration and deployment projects

• Analyze and design production environment changes

• Support users and project teams regarding the SAS platform

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, network, and cloud teams and external providers

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in system administration or application platform administration

• Very good knowledge of Linux, Unix/AIX, and Windows Server

• Experience administering SAS 9.4 or similar enterprise platforms

• Knowledge of components and how enterprise application platforms and production environments work

• Practical knowledge of LDAP and Active Directory

• Practical ability to create and maintain administrative scripts in Bash, PowerShell, Python, and CMD

• Knowledge of Git version control system

• Experience analyzing application, system, and infrastructure logs
