Description

You will be responsible for the architecture, operation, and further development of central IT infrastructure. This includes virtualization, storage/SAN, backup/restore and disaster recovery, server administration (Windows and Linux/SLES), databases and backend services, core infrastructure tools, and incident troubleshooting. You will also automate operational tasks and coordinate vendors and support contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture, operation, and continuous development of central IT infrastructure

  • Administer virtualization solutions (VMware vSphere, HPE servers)

  • Manage storage and SAN systems (Huawei SAN, StorMagic, QNAP)

  • Operate backup, restore, and disaster-recovery solutions with Veeam

  • Administer Windows and Linux servers, especially SLES

  • Support databases and backend services (MSSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, SAP ASE)

  • Operate central infrastructure tools (LogInventory, i-doit, Znuny, EasyArchiv)

  • Analyze and resolve complex infrastructure incidents

  • Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, CMD, and Bash

  • Maintain technical documentation and system configuration

  • Coordinate manufacturers, service providers, and support contracts

  • Contribute to the strategic further development of the IT infrastructure

Requirements

  • Multi-year practice in designing or architecting business applications (ideally in logistics)

  • Completed degree in Computer Science/Business Informatics or comparable training plus multi-year experience

  • Familiarity with current IT system landscapes, integration architectures, cloud solutions, and modern development approaches

  • Ability to identify needs and develop sustainable concepts with an emphasis on efficiency and usability

  • Enjoy cross-department collaboration and open, collegial teamwork

  • Reliability, initiative, and willingness to think differently
