• Role: Senior SAP Basis Administrator (SAP Platform Operations)

Description

You will operate and administer SAP landscapes for international clients—including SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and classic NetWeaver—across on-premise, hyperscalers, and RISE with SAP. The role focuses on resolving non-standard SAP Basis incidents and changes with root-cause analysis, supporting S/4HANA conversions and release upgrades, and improving monitoring, security, and observability. You’ll also automate recurring Basis tasks and grow through an individual training and certification path.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate and administer SAP landscapes; guide less-senior colleagues

• Handle incidents, requests, and changes at the SAP Basis level with root-cause analysis and permanent fixes

• Support S/4HANA conversions, release upgrades, and OS/DB or cloud migrations to Azure, AWS, GCP, and RISE with SAP

• Operate, configure, and develop monitoring/observability tooling (SAP Cloud ALM, Focused Run, SAP Solution Manager, Avantra/Xandria)

• Automate recurring Basis activities using shell/PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and SAP Landscape Management

• Ensure platform security and compliance (SAP Security Notes and patching cadence, system hardening, certificates, SSO and identity integration)

• Standardize tasks, complete documentation, and support staff training

• Develop technical and soft skills along a selected certification path
