Description

Support the certification office for tax research incentives by analyzing and professionally reviewing applications to issue confirmations under the Research Allowance Act. You will assess R&D projects against defined audit criteria, draft evaluation notes and decisions, and handle follow-up requests and objections. You will also prepare audit-relevant scientific and technical updates and contribute to developing web applications and AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scientific analysis and professional review of applications for certificates under the tax research incentive law

• Evaluate research and development projects using defined review criteria

• Create review remarks, official decisions (Bescheide), and process Nachforderungen (follow-up requests)

• Professionally process and evaluate submitted objections (Widersprüche)

• Prepare the current status of science and technology for new audit-relevant topics

• Participate in working groups to further develop web applications and AI functionalities

• Analyze needs and identify development opportunities

• Formulate requirements in structured tickets

• Test and validate newly developed functionalities

Requirements

• Completed university degree (Diploma/Master) in natural sciences, engineering, or computer science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence

• Experience in the conception, development, and operation of large language models (LLMs)

• Knowledge of development, operation, and support of web-based and database-backed administration systems

• Experience in structured evaluation of research and development projects

• Practical knowledge of project management, ideally in agile environments

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Very good German proficiency in both written and spoken form
