Description

You will build and implement AI-supported workflows and more reliable digital structures, working closely with management and gaining firsthand insight into processes. The role is roughly 60% AI/automation/AI agents, 25% internal IT and workplace systems, and 15% security, documentation, and enabling the team. You’ll have room to shape the future AI and automation area with safe, long-term solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze administrative and work processes and prioritize automation initiatives by benefit, effort, and risk
  • Design, implement, and operate workflows using n8n, Power Automate, Make, or comparable tools
  • Connect existing systems via APIs, webhooks, and structured data formats such as JSON
  • Develop AI and agent solutions from first prototype to stable, monitored operation
  • Plan tests, error handling, logging, and human approvals for sensitive processes
  • Define standards for Microsoft 365 (user accounts, roles, permissions, access, and workstation devices)
  • Decide what can be run safely via cloud services vs. what should be self-hosted
  • Document decisions and systems clearly and train the team in practical usage
  • Collaborate with management and specialists on data protection, information security, and legal topics
  • In the first months: automate candidate management, scheduling, and follow-ups
  • In the first months: build structured digital onboarding for employees (accounts, access, devices)
  • In the first months: create initial controlled AI workflows for administrative tasks and documents
  • In the first months: perform an inventory of systems, roles, permissions, and security standards
  • In the first months: produce understandable, maintainable documentation so new solutions can be used and improved long-term

Requirements

  • At least one automation or AI solution you personally brought to productive use
  • Hands-on experience with n8n, Power Automate, Make, Zapier, or similar automation platforms
  • Understanding of APIs, webhooks, JSON, and basic data flows
  • Experience with LLMs or AI agents, including tests, error handling, and result control
  • Strong fundamentals in Microsoft 365 (user accounts, roles, and permissions)
  • Ability to document technical decisions and solutions clearly
  • Ability to explain technical connections to people without an IT background
  • Very good German and ability to work regularly onsite in Düsseldorf
  • Independent working style, transparent prioritization, and accountability for outcomes
