Description

You will be the first point of contact for questions and issues related to clinic IT and support staff on site. The role includes configuring and installing endpoints (PCs, notebooks, tablets, printers, scanners, signature pads, and mobile devices), assigning and updating software, and supporting clinic IT security for special equipment—up to the responsibility as clinic IT emergency coordinator. You will also help onboard new employees, maintain documentation, manage device inventory, and support user administration and access permissions.

Responsibilities

  • First contact for clinic IT questions and problems; provide on-site support
  • Act as IT liaison for the clinic
  • Support hardware and stand-alone technical solutions procurement
  • Set up, configure, and install PCs, notebooks, tablets, printers, peripheral devices (e.g., signature pads, scanners), and mobile devices
  • Assign, install, and update software
  • Train new employees using the onboarding plan for clinic IT
  • Implement IT security guidelines for special equipment; support information security; serve as clinic IT emergency coordinator
  • Create and maintain documentation and instructions for stand-alone technology
  • Inventory, manage, and maintain IT devices
  • Support user administration and assignment of profiles and access permissions

Requirements

  • Completed higher education (Bachelor or FH diploma) in IT, or completed IT vocational training, or at least three years of relevant IT work experience
  • Knowledge in installation, administration, and configuration of supported IT systems and operating systems (including MS Windows)
  • Knowledge of standard software (including MS Office) and of protocols and standards in the clinic environment
  • Experience in technical IT support, especially problem analysis and fault troubleshooting
  • Safe and responsible handling of data protection and data security
  • Fluent German (spoken and written)
  • Willingness for occasional business travel within Germany and to be on call outside regular working hours, including weekends
  • Process-oriented thinking and an independent, committed working style
  • High customer/service orientation and strong communication skills
  • Ideally, a Class B (or Class 3) driver’s license for occasional regional hardware transport
  • For candidates born after 1970: proof of measles vaccination before employment
  • Preference for candidates with severe disability or equal status (where equally qualified)
