Description

You will design, develop, and maintain production infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). You’ll build and evolve GitOps standards for Kubernetes clusters (Flux, Kustomize), implement progressive delivery (canary releases), and improve CI/CD automation with GitLab CI. The role also includes observability (Prometheus/Grafana), SRE practices (SLI/SLO, error budgets, postmortems), and DevSecOps security for pipelines and container images.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, develop, and maintain GCP infrastructure with Terraform.

• Develop and evolve GitOps standards for Kubernetes clusters (Flux, Kustomize).

• Design and deploy progressive delivery strategies (canary releases) and build supporting CI/CD tooling.

• Develop and optimize GitLab CI pipelines covering Terraform, Kubernetes/GitOps, and container image build + scanning.

• Co-develop platform layer capabilities for service mesh and API Gateway.

• Define and implement access control and secrets management best practices using HashiCorp Vault.

• Build observability solutions based on Prometheus and Grafana (monitoring, alerting, reliability analysis).

• Advance SRE practices: SLI/SLO, error budgets, postmortem analysis, and recommend stability improvements.

• Identify and implement solutions to improve scalability, performance, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.

• Set standards and promote DevSecOps best practices for pipeline and container image security.

• Create and develop internal CLI tools in Go supporting Kubernetes and GitOps teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 6–7 years of experience in DevOps/SRE.

• Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform, including maintaining and developing production environments.

• Strong Terraform skills with Infrastructure as Code (modularization, code review, infrastructure code quality).

• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes and GitOps, especially Flux and Kustomize.

• Experience with progressive deployments (canary releases) or readiness to take responsibility quickly.

• Ability to design and develop CI/CD processes with automation, scalability, and reusable pipelines.

• Practical experience building observability with Prometheus and Grafana (or similar).

• Understanding of secrets management, access control, and CI/CD security.

• Effective work across multiple teams and multiple clusters while maintaining consistent standards and scalable solutions.

• Practical SRE experience including SLI/SLO, error budgets, and postmortems; ability to evolve these practices.
