Description

You will provide 3rd-level technical support for software applications used in production processes. The role includes independent issue investigation, documenting support cases for analysis, and supporting cloud-related infrastructure topics. You will also assist with software product testing, pre-sales support, and customer deployments, and create technical documentation and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical 3rd level support for assigned applications
• Document support cases for further analysis
• Support internal cloud infrastructure topics
• Assist in software product testing
• Provide pre-sales support
• Support market organizations in customer projects off- and on-site for application installations
• Propose/design system architectures, implementation plans, configuration features, and validation approaches
• Train market organizations and end-customers
• Create technical documentation (e.g., knowledge base articles, functionality descriptions)
• Create/adapt training documentation and video materials
• Cooperate with Product Managers on customer support cases
• Cooperate with R&D on development of new software versions (specifications, know-how sharing, smoke tests)

Requirements

• Technical education (preferably further training in electrical engineering or IT)
• 2–3 years of professional experience in a similar role
• Good customer service skills
• Knowledge of installing/maintaining production-process software
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving expertise
• Experience in technical support engineering (or similar)
• Good English skills (spoken and written)
• Technical experience with TCP/IP, MS SQL, Windows Server OS, virtualization, and web services in application support of large distributed client-server systems
• Experience deploying, securing, and operating Docker or Kubernetes on private/public clouds (e.g., Microsoft Azure)
• Understanding of large-scale distributed systems and microservices concepts (load balancers, caching, web/app servers, networking)
• Experience in an international work environment

Additional Assets

• In-depth TCP/IP networking and virtualization experience
• Knowledge of REST APIs and OPC (or similar integration technologies)
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing software environments
• Cybersecurity concepts (certificates, authentication, authorization)
• Scripting (JavaScript, T-SQL)
