Description

You will design and integrate mechanical subsystems in modern rail vehicles, manage the installation space, and coordinate with suppliers and engineering teams in an international environment. The work includes creating and updating SAM mockups, designing 3D parts, preparing 2D/3D technical and assembly documentation, and supporting ECR-driven design changes. You will also assist with dimensional chain calculations and contribute to FAI and type testing support.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation space and integration of mechanical subsystems in rail vehicles

• Create and update SAM installation-space mockups across project stages

• Prepare mockups for suppliers and verify delivered solutions against requirements

• Design 3D parts considering technical and maintenance/service requirements

• Produce 2D and 3D technical documentation and assembly documentation

• Participate in supplier/contractor technical meetings conducted in English

• Handle and coordinate structural design changes (ECR)

• Collaborate with the Shared Engineering Center and verify their deliverables

• Perform dimensional chain calculations and prepare mass data

• Support first-article inspection (FAI) and type testing at production facilities and with suppliers

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering

• 2–3+ years of experience in mechanical structure design

• CATIA V5 or equivalent CAD for 3D modeling

• Experience with PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA or similar)

• Ability to create technical documentation and construction/engineering drawings

• English proficiency for technical communication

• Accuracy and strong supplier/team collaboration skills

• Availability to work in Chorzów and participate in on-site implementation as needed
