Description

You’ll provide technical expertise to support general arrangement and detailed design drawings for projects such as roadways, rail, grading, drainage, utilities, and land development. The role includes developing and refining Civil 3D models and producing high-quality 2D drawings and plans, along with basic design calculations and rigorous quality control for deliverables. You will work in a multidisciplinary team and use BIM and digital collaboration tools to support efficient information management and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support or prepare general arrangement and detailed design drawings for roadways, rail, grading, drainage, utilities, and land development projects

• Develop and refine Civil 3D models and produce high-quality 2D drawings and plans

• Perform basic design calculations to support engineering solutions

• Apply quality control procedures (self-checking and coordination reviews) and manage issuance of deliverables

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align and ensure consistency across design packages

• Communicate professionally in English (written and verbal)

• Use BIM and digital collaboration tools for efficient information management and project delivery

• Support and mentor team members in technical software and coordinated design workflows

Requirements

• Diploma or degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering Technology, CAD Technology, or Engineering CAD/BIM Technology

• Certified Engineering Technician or Technologist (or eligibility to obtain)

• Experience supporting linear infrastructure and/or site development projects

• Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality work on schedule

• Proficiency with industry-standard design software, including Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D)

• Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to proactively identify project needs and resolve technical challenges

• Interest in digital delivery and continuous learning; willingness to adopt new tools and workflows

• Solid understanding of drafting standards, techniques, and engineering practices; commitment to continuous improvement

• Strong written and communication skills in English

• Ability to build good working relationships and to work independently

• Flexibility to travel if required
