Description

Own the technical approach for extracting, analyzing, and scoring trend signals and hashtags from social platforms. Define, validate, and improve analytical metrics, and build prototype data pipelines and analytics experiences. Work independently with high ownership while collaborating with senior data leadership, using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development while ensuring output correctness.

Responsibilities

• Extract, analyze, and score trend signals and hashtags from social platforms
• Evaluate new social data sources and assess their value
• Define, validate, and improve analytical metrics
• Build prototype data pipelines and analytical experiences to validate new approaches
• Translate ambiguous business/product requirements into clear technical plans
• Take ownership of complex technical implementations
• Clean and prepare large datasets while ensuring data quality and consistency
• Build automated tests into data pipelines to improve reliability
• Create quick prototypes to validate concepts with stakeholders before full implementation
• Document processes and maintain work in Jira
• Deliver clean, reusable code, datasets, and data pipelines
• Collaborate closely with senior data leadership and support the technical direction of the workstream
• Use AI coding tools effectively while maintaining full ownership of quality and correctness

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or in a comparable data-focused role
• Strong commercial experience with Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with dbt
• Experience working with Snowflake
• Experience with large datasets, data preparation, and data quality
• Ability to independently solve complex and ambiguous technical problems
• Experience translating business/product requirements into technical solutions
• Ability to build prototypes and validate new analytical approaches quickly
• Experience with Git/GitHub
• High autonomy, ownership, and accountability; able to work independently with minimal oversight
