Description

You will join a Scrum team working on a microservices-based platform in the financial sector. As a Software System Architect (Tech Lead), you will both lead technically and actively code in Java, designing and evolving core architecture, integrations, and APIs. The role also includes cloud work (preferably Azure) and using AI/agentic AI to support development and automation.

Role & Responsibilities

• Act as Tech Lead in a Scrum team
• Active programming and delivery of business requirements using Java
• Design and develop system and microservice architecture
• Collaborate with Product Owner and business stakeholders on technical solutions
• Design and develop integrations and APIs
• Define technical standards and ensure they are followed
• Run code reviews and maintain solution quality
• Mentor and support the developer team
• Resolve complex technical problems
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of systems
• Work with architecture teams, DevOps, and other Scrum teams
• Participate in technology decisions and risk analysis
• Use cloud solutions (preferably Azure)
• Use AI and agentic AI to support and automate parts of the development process

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and building web systems
• Very good Java knowledge with hands-on active development
• Experience designing microservices and distributed systems architecture
• Very good understanding of architectural and integration patterns
• Experience designing APIs and integrating systems
• Practical knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture
• Experience with observability and monitoring
• Knowledge of application security principles
• Experience leading a technical team, mentoring, and conducting code review
• Strong cross-team collaboration skills
• Experience making technology decisions and assessing risks
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• English level at least B2
• Availability for hybrid work in Warsaw (3 days/week in the office)

Nice to Have

• Practical Azure knowledge (or other cloud solutions)
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of AI solutions supporting the Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience implementing automation to improve developer team efficiency
