Description

Manage, secure, and support production computers and other network-connected equipment to ensure stable long-term operation. Plan and implement regular hardware refreshes, standardize devices across refresh cycles, and oversee endpoint protection, updates, and backups. Troubleshoot specialized software and connectivity issues on-site and remotely, coordinating with maintenance and external specialists while maintaining technical inventory and access rights.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and secure manufacturing PCs and related IT equipment
• Operate and secure network-connected production devices (barcode readers, cameras, printers, and machine network interfaces); ensure availability and resolve connectivity problems with maintenance and vendors
• Plan and execute regular refresh of manufacturing PCs, replacing outdated devices and standardizing hardware per cycle
• Check antivirus and other endpoint protections, updates, and backups; address identified security risks
• Collaborate with maintenance and external specialists on PLC backups and handle production IT requests within assigned scope
• Provide user support on-site and remotely, troubleshooting specialized software
• Prepare and hand over equipment during employee onboarding/offboarding; manage accounts and access permissions
• Maintain clear records of assets, licenses, service interventions, and requests; verify software license status
• Coordinate vendors, external service, and IT system administrators, especially for manufacturing-related needs

Requirements

• Secondary technical or IT education (electrical engineering background is a plus)
• Practical orientation in computer hardware, Windows, computer networks, and securing endpoints and network-connected devices
• Ability to independently diagnose problems, including connectivity issues, plan equipment refresh, and maintain technical records
• Carefulness, reliability, and clear communication with production and office colleagues
