Description

The People Systems Senior Analyst (Workday) is a subject matter expert responsible for configuring, supporting, and continuously improving Workday solutions across a defined set of modules. The role owns configuration, enhancements, and issue resolution to improve stability, scalability, and optimization of the Workday ecosystem. You will also lead smaller initiatives and support larger transformation programs, while gradually expanding expertise to additional Workday modules.

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and optimize assigned Workday modules (2–3 SKUs), ensuring data accuracy, performance, and adherence to governance and security

• Build and maintain business process frameworks, condition rules, calculated fields, and other configurations

• Deliver system changes using structured release management and testing approaches; manage tenant and release activities including validation and defect resolution

• Serve as a subject matter expert; translate business requirements into efficient and scalable solutions

• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to reduce manual intervention

• Maintain system documentation and ensure configuration changes are clearly documented and controlled

• Support integration build, testing, and deployment using Workday tools (e.g., EIBs, Core Connectors)

• Develop and maintain Workday reports and dashboards (standard and custom); support data integrity and governance

• Partner with People Analytics for reporting and data extraction requirements

• Support HR and business stakeholders; lead smaller Workday projects/workstreams and guide junior analysts and administrators

• Contribute to training materials and user guidance to improve adoption

Requirements

• Strong Workday configuration and administration experience across at least 2 SKUs (e.g., Core HCM, Compensation, Time & Absence, Talent Management, Recruiting)

• Proven experience delivering Workday enhancements and configuration changes, including smaller-scale implementations

• Good understanding of Workday business processes, calculated fields, and security concepts

• Hands-on experience with Workday tools such as EIBs and Report Writer; integration experience desirable

• Experience working within structured release cycles and testing frameworks

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot system issues

• Effective stakeholder management and communication; ability to translate business needs into system solutions

• Workday certification in relevant modules (desirable)
